Monthly Meeting of North Shore Artists League

From Steering Committee:

• Visit Cook County will promote league artists on their website at $150 annual promotion rate if we can provide and manage our own directory to which they will link.  Their reach is about 85,000 individuals, organizations and businesses in Minnesota.
• Kathy will do a member tour of league website which is now in beta test and includes:
• • Collection of annual membership dues and renewals
  • Directory of Members with member-managed profile, method of contact including website, sampler photo album of artist's work 
  • News, Events, Feature Artists, shows and online exhibitions
  • Member-only area for blog, minutes archive and organizational documents
  • Shop - Each member can have 6 items in a retail shop
  • • Shop is organized by category, e.g. pottery, glass, sculpture, fiber, etc.
    • Sales include collection of sales taxes and shipping cost unless local pick up or delivery
• Decisions needed:
• • Membership dues recommended at $35.00 annual, $50 for affiliate members, and $50 for galleries, organizations or retail businesses
  • Charter and bank account
  • Go forward with website and promotion by Visit Cook County
  • Authorize Kathy Weinberg to act as Treasurer through 12/31/2020 and for her to document process and procedures for future officer(s).  She will report financial transactions to the Steering Committee and overall finances to the League at monthly meetings.
